Personal Advisor

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Advisor to support our Local Authority client in Yorkshire.

Contract Length: 3-6 months - with possible extension
Pay Rate: £18.35 per hour PAYE - Negotiable
Hybrid

As a Personal Advisor, you will work directly with Children in Care and Care Leavers, providing individualised support in line with their assessed needs and Pathway Plans. You will play a key role in promoting independence, encouraging participation in decision-making and ensuring young people feel supported, listened to and empowered as they move towards adulthood.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a named Personal Advisor for Children in Care and Care Leavers, providing consistent, relationship-based support and guidance
• Provide practical assistance, advice, information and advocacy to young people, their families and relevant stakeholders
• Support Social Workers and other qualified practitioners in delivering appropriate social care interventions
• Assist in the assessment, preparation, implementation and review of Pathway Plans, ensuring support reflects each young person's individual needs, wishes and aspirations

Key requirements:

• Experience of working with children, young people, care leavers or vulnerable individuals in a social care, support or related setting
• Knowledge and understanding of the needs and challenges faced by Children in Care and Care Leavers as they transition into adulthood and independent living
