Rent Income Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Rent Income Officer for a local authority in West London.

In this role, you will manage rent income collection and arrears recovery, supporting residents to maximise their income, sustain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

Duties:

• Manage rent accounts and take early action to prevent and recover arrears.

• Support residents with benefits, income maximisation and debt management advice.

• Prepare court papers, attend court and represent the Council in possession cases.

• Work with residents, colleagues and partner agencies to sustain tenancies and deliver an effective rent income service.

Qualifications and experience:

• Experience of rent arrears, income collection or debt recovery.

• Experience of working in a customer-focused housing or public sector environment.

• Experience of communicating and negotiating effectively with residents and partner agencies.

• Experience of maintaining accurate records and preparing clear letters, reports or case documentation.

What's on offer:

Salary: £23ph+ may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
