We are looking for a SEN Intervention Assistant to join our dedicated team within our specialist SEND school.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide targeted support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and independence, and achieve their individual potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions based on pupils' individual needs.
- Support pupils with communication, interaction, cognition, learning, social and emotional development.
- Work alongside teachers to implement individual education plans and personalised learning programmes.
- Monitor and record pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Use a range of engaging and creative approaches to support learning and development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families and external professionals where appropriate.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, inclusion and the wellbeing of all pupils.
About You

- Has experience working with children or young people with SEND, or has a strong desire to develop their skills in this area.

- Is confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Is willing to learn, reflect and undertake relevant training.
- A DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
