A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Blackley area of Manchester is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following a successful initial agency placement.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals.
- Work closely with teachers and the SEN department to deliver tailored support.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student independence.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to help them thrive both academically and personally.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on students' education.
