Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?
We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist community school in St Helens, supporting young people aged 14-19 with a diverse range of complex needs.
The school provides a nurturing, highly supportive environment for young people with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple complex needs, autism, social communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical/medical needs. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping pupils develop their independence, communication, confidence and life skills.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to provide high-quality, individualised support. Your responsibilities will include:

Previous experience working with SEN, autism, complex needs, learning difficulties, physical disabilities or medical needs would be highly desirable. Experience within a specialist school, college, care setting or similar environment would also be beneficial.
