Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity from September?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded primary school in the Stretford area for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and committed team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils across the school, helping them to engage positively with learning and achieve their potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with children and is looking to secure a long-term position within a welcoming school environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence.
  • Support children with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to become independent learners.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Is enthusiastic, patient and committed to supporting pupils.
  • Can work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Has a positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Is confident working with pupils of different abilities and needs.
  • Can establish positive relationships quickly.
  • Is reliable, professional and able to commit to a full-time role.

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
