Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting for Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Walton-le-Dale and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and looking to gain valuable experience within a primary school environment.
No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required to apply. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience, transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
There are genuine temp-to-perm opportunities available for the right candidates.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils with their learning, development and day-to-day needs.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils within the classroom
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning
• Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Helping pupils build confidence and independence
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers and other school staff

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Patient, caring and supportive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one

You do not need to hold a Teaching Assistant qualification to apply for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
